Happy Schmalentines Day!

Nothing much to report. On V-day I met up with a fellow volunteer in a nearby village where we befriended two middle aged ladies in a rustic cafe with deer antlers over the entrance and muffled speakers that played Yellow River over and over and over. Then we drank "to love" until 8:00 pm (because "I love you" is the extent of most people's English 'round these here parts) , but it felt like 5:00 am. Then I narrowly escaped the advances of a creepy, cute older dude, who ended up being my taxi ride home. I survived, but not without a sloppy, scratchy wet one on the side of my face. Oh, adventure.

In other news, my best Am. friend in K-stan has just returned from America, so I'm ecstatic to have my pal back. He even thought to bring me a bottle of Jack, bless him. It's gonna be all headaches tomorrow...
